What to Expect Your First Time Here?
One way to know what to expect is to watch one of our previous services online. But here are a few details for your arrival.
Parking
There is a small parking lot behind the building on Wendell Ave. This lot fills up quickly adn you may have to use on-street parking. There are a limited number of handicap spaces at the main entrace on E. Elm Ave. For directions, see the google map at the bottom of this page.
Arrival
As you enter the building at the main front doors, you'll be greeted by the smiling faces of our hospitality team. Please let them know you are a "first-timer" so they can be sure to help you with whatever you need or answer any questions. There is an elevator for those who prefer not to use steps. Restrooms are located on the lower level near the front doors. help yourself to free coffee in the foyer. As you enter the sanctuary, be seated wherever you like.
Language Translation
Live sermon translation is available during our 10:30 AM worship service in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, and Haitian French. Using your phone and headphones, you can listen to the sermon translated in real time while remaining in the worship service. When you arrive, ask a greeter or stop by the Connection Center for help getting connected.
Children's Ministry (During the 10:30 AM Service Only)Children can be checked in beginning at 10:25 AM at the Kids Check-In Center, located to the left when you enter through the main front doors.
Our Little Disciples nursery is available for children aged 3 and under.
Kindgom Kids is available for children aged 4 - 5th grade.
After checking in, children can head to the Wolly Kids space, where they’ll spend the service learning about Jesus through age-appropriate Bible lessons, worship, prayer, games, activities, and time together. For everyone’s safety, children must be checked in by a parent or guardian and picked up after the service using their matching security sticker. Our Wolly Kids volunteers are background-checked, screened, and trained, and we maintain appropriate adult-to-child ratios so every child can be cared for in a safe, welcoming, and attentive environment.
Worship Time
All services include interactive music intended for you to sing along as a part of the worship experience. Sing as much or as little as you like (but you should totally give it a try, it's fun). The three different services each have a different feel, but all are designed to help you focus on Christ and his word. The service will encourage you to respond to what you've seen and heard through singing, communion (if you want to), prayer (silently), and sometimes testimonies (but only those who volunteer).
