What to Expect Your First Time Here?
One way to know what to expect is to watch one of our previous services online. But here are a few details for your arrival.
Parking
There is a small parking lot behind the building on Wendell Ave. This lot fills up quickly adn you may have to use on-street parking. There are a limited number of handicap spaces at the main entrace on E. Elm Ave. For directions, see the google map at the bottom of this page.
Arrival
As you enter the building at the main front doors, you'll be greeted by the smiling faces of our hospitality team. Please let them know you are a "first-timer" so they can be sure to help you with whatever you need or answer any questions. There is an elevator for those who prefer not to use steps. Restrooms are located on the lower level near the front doors. help yourself to free coffee in the foyer. As you enter the sanctuary, be seated wherever you like.
Children's Ministry (During the 10:30 AM Service Only)
If you have a preschool child, there are volunteers who have been screened and trained to watch your children in a nursery on the lower level. There is a check-in center for kids on the left as you enter the main front doors. you can check kids in starting at 10:15am.
For children in 5th grade to 1st grade, we offer a Kid's Church option during the 10:30 AM worship service. They can sit with you in the worship service and then before the sermon time, volunteers will lead them to the kid's church space for a fun, age specific, bible lesson time. Kid's church kids must also be checked in and require a parent or guardian to pick them up after church.
Worship Time
All services include interactive music intended for you to sing along as a part of the worship experience. Sing as much or as little as you like (but you should totally give it a try, it's fun). The three different services each have a different feel, but all are designed to help you focus on Christ and his word. The service will encourage you to respond to what you've seen and heard through singing, communion (if you want to), prayer (silently), and sometimes testimonies (but only those who volunteer).
We hope you'll consider joining us to check it out. Showing up is really the only way to truly get a sense of what worship is like at Wollaston Nazarene. Please subscribe to our weekly EMAIL for information regarding events, worship preparation, prayer requests, and more church-related communication.
Hope to see you soon. We Already Love You!
